James Gray, MP for North Wilthsire has today writtento Island Green Power UK Limited, the company behind the Lime Down Solar projectto raise questions about their procurement and supply chain of solar panels.

James’concerns have stemmed from a Debate held in Parliament last week entitled ‘SolarSupply Chains’. During the debate Members of Parliament across the Chamber raisedconcerns about the potential use of Uyghur forced labour in the production of solarpanels in China.

Commenting James said:

“I am very concerned to hear reportsabout the use of Uyghur labour in the production of solar panels in northernChina. It is only right that we should know where the solar panels that LimeDown want to desecrate our countryside with will come from. I have therefore writtento Island Green Power the company behind Lime Down to seek assurances abouttheir supply chain.”

James has undertaken to publishIsland Green Powers response to his letter publicly.
