North Wiltshire constituency
The North Wiltshire constituency has changed radically as a result of boundary change recommendations. The name has been retained by the northernmost part of the current constituency, focused on the towns of Malmesbury, Wootton Bassett, Cricklade and Calne. The former largest town of Chippenham has been given its own seat.
New Chippenham constituency
Following the 2003-2005 review into parliamentary representation in Wiltshire, the Boundary Commission created a new constituency, reviving the name of Chippenham as a seat. It is formed from parts of the former Devizes, North Wiltshire and Westbury constituencies. The new MP for Chippenham is Duncan Hames.
